(Albuquerque, NM) Wednesday, February 21, 2024 – The New Mexico Ice Wolves® today announced the return of fan favorite Chuck-A-Skivvy events during upcoming NA3HL and NAHL home games at Outpost Ice Arenas with all new packages of kids underwear going to Locker #505 Clothing Bank. Fans are asked to bring as many new pairs of new boys or girls underwear in their original package as they want to toss onto the ice after the second intermission of games on February 25th and March 2nd for a chance to win a jersey signed by the entire NM Ice Wolves NA3HL and NAHL teams, along with other prizes.

 

The Chuck-A-Skivvy events take place over two weekends starting with the NA3HL NM Ice Wolves hosting the Atlanta Capitals in a three-game stand which are the final home games of the regular season for the NA3HL team. The team is fresh off clinching a playoff berth for the second season in a row as they now focus on the South Division championship and upcoming playoffs. The three-game NA3HL home stand starts Friday, February 23 at 6:30pm MT, continues Saturday, February 24 at 6:30pm and finishes on Sunday, February 25 at 2pm with the first Chuck-A-Skivvy taking place in the second intermission of the final game. The NAHL NM Ice Wolves home games are the following weekend against the Odessa Jackalopes, March 1-2 at 6:30pm MT with Chuck-A-Skivvy taking place in the second intermission of the March 2nd game.

 

During the NAHL games March 1-2 the NM Ice Wolves will wear custom one-off Locker #505 jerseys sponsored by Chill Boys that celebrate the work of Locker #505 in our community through a back-to-school look with a hoodie, cargo shorts and backpack. The game worn Locker #505 jerseys will be available to fans, collectors and Locker #505 supporters via a DASH Auction running Sunday, February 25th – Tuesday, March 5th with 100% of the proceeds going to Locker #505. There will also be a $750 buy-it-now option for the jerseys. All auction winners will have the option of receiving their game worn jersey signed or unsigned by the player that wore it or the entire team. “Locker # 505 exists because of community support,” said Kim Kerschen, Director of Locker #505: Student’s Clothing Bank. “We could not have served almost 3,500 students since July without events like the Ice Wolves’ Skivvy Tosses. This is not only a fun event, but extremely helpful for Locker # 505.”

Chill Boys will also be at Outpost Ice Arenas with packages of new Chill Boys boxers for fans to purchase for a suggested donation of $10 or more to toss on the ice with all proceeds and skivvies going to non-profit organization Locker #505 which provides appropriate clothing to school-aged children in Albuquerque Metro (including Sandoval, Valencia and Torrance counties.

 

Locker #505 aims to outfit each student they can with the clothing they need to feel confident both in school and at home. One of the items Locker #505 needs the most help with is size 2T-3XL underwear.  The NM Ice Wolves aim to lean into the generosity of the loyal fan base to help Locker #505 with their biggest need in providing underwear to the K-12 students in need. If interested in donating to Locker #505 new and lightly used clothing can be dropped from February 21 – March 3 at the Outpost Ice Arenas. Free skate rental is provided to anyone bringing a clothing donation for any public skating session

 

Anyone who brings a clothing donation or makes a contribution of $10 or more for any of the final NA3HL home games of the season February 23-25 can get a reserved bleacher seat ticket (subject to availability, so it is recommended to get to the games early to take advantage of this offer).

 

All home and away NM Ice Wolves NAHL and NA3HL games can be seen exclusively on the new NAHL TV streaming service (nahltv.com) where fans can experience the quality of NM Ice Wolves TV productions and the fun of watching hockey on television.
